Low Iron & Laminated 60"W x 80" H Frameless Single Sliding (Chrome)
Why is glass so transparent and clear?
What is Laminated Glass?
Laminated glass is a type of safety glass made by bonding two glass layers with an interlayer, usually PVB polyvinyl butyral), under high temperature and pressure. Even if broken, the glass fragments remain stuck to the interlayer, preventing them from scattering. This makes laminated glass safer and provides better soundproofing and security.
What is Low Iron Glass?
Low iron glass is a type of glass with higher transparency due to its lower iron content. Unlike regular glass, which often has a greenish tint, low iron glass appears much clearer and more color-neutral. Its hardness and strength are similar to standard glass, but when tempered (as tempered low iron glass), it becomes more impact-resistant and harder to break.
